Holiday Parks are complex operations; they are actually multiple businesses running under one company. Most owners don’t acknowledge it, but running fleet, in addition to sales, and often food & beverage in one business is not standard, and not easy. We have spent years learning parks from an operational and commercial perspective.

We call ourselves experts as over the last 15 years we have been increasing revenue, profitability and the value of owner and family–led parks. We have spent years working with owners to implement commercial strategies, sales management practices and develop people and culture. Every consultant within RBC has a background and operational experience gained within parks. Right now, we understand that trading is tough. With the cost of living crisis, and rising staff, food, and manufacturing costs, it’s a challenge to produce what you did last year never mind grow! This is besides the challenge in finding staff, getting them to stay and layer on top (let's not even mention) the unpredictable weather! We believe we are the best Holiday Park consultancy in the UK, but let’s cut to the chase as our numbers speak for themselves. Within the last 15 years we have grown multiple owner led parks. One from £8m to £26m, which sold within 2 years of our exit for £100m. Another who was delivering £15m for 5 years until we completed a project and took it to £34m. We have recently completed a project which has taken a smaller group from below £5m, to being on target to achieve £10m in less than 3 years. We’ve built senior leadership teams, sales teams, reservations teams and food & beverage teams. We’ve re–modelled every possible revenue area within a park and trained and mentored entire departments!

Growth and Improvement Consultancy

We work with owners to grow and improve every relevant area of their park. We focus on three core areas; commercial, operational and people.  Identifying revenue areas which can be improved, we then set a budget in line with a strategy and manage this through. The expertise is in ensuring this can be delivered operationally and that the business has the right staff to do this. By working on driving each revenue stream, creating efficiency in every cost area, focusing on margins and building teams to do it, we enable growth. Sounds easier than it is, and no growth project has ever been a breeze, but we have never failed.

Holiday Home Sales Consultancy

Holiday Home Sales is normally the biggest revenue stream for any holiday park. We work with you to focus on all aspects, from lead generation activity based around new business and existing owner engagement, to sales process training and future growth strategy. We implement proven sales and financial models, develop your sales team and management, implement post completion work for owner engagement and drive productivity, all with a clear aim - to increase sales revenue both now and in the future.

Reservations Consultancy

Selling holidays is something that has to be learnt. It is not as simple as setting a price and hoping for bookings to roll in. Competition is increasing, and prices often decreasing, so how can you grow this area? RBC have been helping parks grow their holiday bookings and yield for 14 years. From digital to inbound conversion, we focus on improvement and maximisation of occupancy. We have digital experts who can help you grow your online bookings. We have technical experts who can automate dynamic pricing linking it in real time to your occupancy and pricing. Most importantly, we have experts who can improve and impact on your inbound conversion, working with your team to improve your process resulting in increased bookings and increased averages per booking. Owner Engagement and Holiday Maker Retention

A key element to our success is the ability to engage and retain Holiday Home Owners. To do this we work with the incumbent sales teams running strategy days to cultivate activity focused on two key principles; engaging all owners and creating owner upgrades. We produce a strategy which covers all key areas of engagement; upgrade targets, events, communication, contact schedules, offers and benefits. This can either be delivered by the team or managed by us to ensure delivery. Either way our proven engagement strategies increase engagement which delivers upgrades.

Our dream is for every park to have all Holiday Makers return from the prior year, but that doesn’t always happen. Post check out, most parks send a digital questionnaire which generates late and ad hoc feedback. We combat this and drive Holiday Maker retention by calling them, normally within 3 days of check out. We take the Holiday Maker through a simple survey which establishes the following: did they enjoy their holiday, if not why and if yes why and where can improvements be made. The results are incredible as the success rate is over 95%, we pick up issues that they never report so this allows accommodation or service issues to be rectified prior to the next check in. The feedback acts as an audit across all areas and increases standards and retention. We often find the call generates a future holiday quote enquiry. The surveys are completed on a set number of calls covering all types of holidays, all calls are recorded and fully documented so serious issues can be addressed internally and good feedback can be championed. 

Organic Lead Generation

Using state of the art technology, we analyse your current owner database against national statistics then compare plot and stock information to create a score based on the probability of their ability to buy a holiday home. This results in genuine, qualified, sales leads.

Profiling your reservations data against restricted access national data, and customer factual information, to create leads of potential holiday home owners. Once they check in, this information generates a qualified lead for your sales team!

Training

Our training sessions are designed to deliver maximum value, knowledge transfer and impact. Sessions can be run in person or remotely and can be for one or up to 12 people.

Our Holiday Home Sales training is a four day course. The program is designed to motivate, re-focus and give confidence to the attendees. It teaches sales techniques and practices to improve sales conversions from lead generation to completion. The delivery of this program should result in a motivated sales team and an increase in sales without any additional marketing spend. The training will help remove the barriers to selling and increase the knowledge and confidence of the salesperson. Here is a summarised list of what’s covered:

  • To deliver an effective step by step sales process from enquiry to handover
  • To deliver a deep understanding of the documented sales process from lead to after sales
  • To define the concept of ‘people buy people’ and how powerful this is in influencing the customer in buying!

Our reservations two day course teaches sales techniques and practices to improve sales conversions from lead to actual booking. This results in a more motivated Agent and an uplift in bookings without any additional marketing spend. The purpose of this training course is to remove the barriers to selling and increase the knowledge and confidence of the salesperson.

This course focuses on the most important influencer of growth which is sales management. How to effectively manage a team, process and performance is at the heart of the course content. Practical sales management tools and advice is given so each delegate should walk away with skills that will impact. 

Understanding performance management is key for any good business as it sits at the heart of the culture. Not addressing underperformance is as toxic as not praising good performers. This course teaches a set by step process on how to effectively performance manage any member of staff.
